Beginning Blending Boards for Spinning Fiber ~ Jen Lacy

A Blending Board is the ultimate woolen prep tool. Quickly process fleece, top, and other types of fiber into rolags that draft like butter. Wool, mohair, alpaca, cotton, feathers, dog hair, shredded silk fabric, cut yarn, odds and ends from other projects – your imagination is the only limiting factor. The blending board is one of the fastest ways to prepare fiber for woolen spinning. Rolags are very easy to make on the blending board and spinning them is a breeze. 

In this class the instructor will demonstrate different techniques for preparing fiber using blending boards and assist you as you practice.

The instructor will provide the tools needed for the class, there may be a small materials fee for the fiber used. Tools will be available for purchase from the instructor at the end of class.
