Our November Speaker:

Kim McBrien Evans: Inclusive Design and the Maker

Kim McBrien Evans is the owner of Indigo dragonfly yarn company of Haliburton, Ontario, Canada.  Her curiosity and exploration are the name of the game for the knitwear designer and indie hand dyer. A lifelong love of colour, texture, and pattern prompted Kim to transition from working artist to textile maven. Her knitwear designs are known for their ability to turn an abstract idea into a textile reality while simultaneously fitting and flattering every body.

Her yarn company, Indigodragonfly, is renowned for its vibrant colours, offbeat names, and ever expanding plan for world domination. She lives and works in the woods of Central Ontario.

Kim will also be teaching classes:

Saturday November 12, 2022 - "Building Unique Shawl Shapes!" and "Yoke Sweater Fit"

Sunday November 13 - "Bums and Bellies" and "Boob Camp: Bust Darts".

See the Guild website and calendar for class registration.

COVID Update: The safety and security of our members, speakers, and staff are our most important priorities. We will require everyone to be fully vaccinated (primary series plus boosters as eligible) to attend in-person Guild  meetings.  Masks will be required for all persons unless presenting to the Guild. This is our COVID policy as of 7/12/22; it will be updated based on any masking or vaccine requirement changes from city, state, or federal authorities. This policy is based on the CDC guidelines for vaccination status: the CDC recommends COVID-19 primary series vaccines for everyone ages 6 months and older, and COVID-19 boosters for everyone ages 5 years and older, if eligible. You will be required to show proof of vaccination at time of check in and masks will be required throughout the meeting unless presenting.
