From the Newsletter:
2020 will long be remembered as an unsettled year. Many of us have exhausted our surge capacity for dealing with the stress of the pandemic, quarantine, and the many social and political tensions playing out here in Madison, around the country, and around the world.
In this context we propose a Knit ALong to provide comfort - in the form of a warm cowl or neckerchief -and express our unity. Remember that unity is not the same as uniformity - to quote some lyrics from
the country song “Home” written by Dierks Bentley, Dan Wilson, and Brett Beaver:
“...same, no we're not the same but that’s what makes us strong”
Here are some neckwear patterns we found on Ravelry that could be fun to make in the KAL. Feel free to choose your own pattern from your collection, an online pattern collection or designer’s site, or even design your own! You are welcome to make whatever pattern you want, even if it is something other than a cowl. Basically everyone is welcome to join in and be united by our love of yarn!
