Had fun in “Flawless Finishing?” or perhaps you are a finishing pro that wants to jump to the next level in your knitwear-finishing career? In this class watch as even more magic unfolds as we bypass basic seams and jump into more complex finishing techniques. 

Skills Covered:

  • Joining horizontal color stripes
  • Lining up seams
  • Joining raglan seams
  • Proper sweater decreasing
  • Sleeve increases
  • Picking up stitches around a neckline
  • Weaving in tails


Homework: 

Swatches #1 AND #2: PLEASE MAKE TWO IDENTICAL SWATCHES!

Using 2 different colors of worsted weight yarn (color “A” and Color “B”) and a size US #7 OR #8 straight OR circular Knitting needle, cast on 18 stitches with color “A”.

Work in Stockinette Stitch (Row #1 Knit, Row#2 Purl) as followed:

  • Rows 1-8 – Color “A”
  • Rows- 9-12- Color “B”
  • Rows 13-20- Color “A”

Bind off all stitches loosely!

Using worsted weight yarn and a size US #7 OR #8 straight OR circular Knitting needle, cast on 18 stitches. Work in Stockinette Stitch (Row #1 Knit, Row#2 Purl) until piece measures 4 inches. Bind off All stitches loosely.
