Gauge and Substitutions (and not being afraid of some math)!


Description

Need help substituting yarns? Do you want more understanding of gauge? Have a great sweater pattern, but want to make it with a lighter or heavier yarn? Here is your chance to get some expert help and advice. Please bring a calculator and a pen. If you have a pattern and yarn that you'd like to put together, bring some swatches of the yarn knit up and the pattern and we'll make a plan!

Necessary materials:

pen and paper

calculator

tape measure/ruler


Required advance work

swatches (ideally 5 inches long and at least 3 inches in height)

pattern optional for a yarn substitution of your choosing
