Laurann Gilbertson, Curator of Vesterheim Museum, Historic Norwegian Knitting will share a variety of artifacts from Vesterheim’s deep collections. Many items were brought from Norway by immigrants; others were made or used here in the Midwest. The stories connected to these knit pieces reveal much about daily life, traditions, expectations, memory, and identity.
