2024-2025 Madison Knitter’s Guild Knit Along (KAL)
When: Saturday, November 2 from 2:30 p.m. - 4:30 p.m.
Session Title: Cast on your gauge swatch
Location: Pinney Public Library
516 Cottage Grove Road Madison, WI
Instructor: Margy Blanchard
Description:
Would you like to knit a sweater that actually fits you but didn’t think you could? Would you like to get together with other friendly knitters? Then join us for this years KAL. Most KAL groups all knit the same pattern. We want you to end up with a sweater that fits you! Our theme for this years KAL sweater is stranded knitting (knitting with two different color yarns in one row). But you can knit whatever sweater pattern you want. We will help you every step of the way, from getting your correct measurements, to selecting the right yarn for your pattern, to helping you determine the correct gauge for your sweater. All the while you will be able to visit with other fun members of MKG.
We will be meeting once a month from October 2024 through August 2025. We will show off our finished sweaters at the September 2025 MKG meeting. We meet at area public libraries. We try to meet the first Sunday of the month, unless meeting rooms are not available then.
Experience level required: basic knitting skills
