Description

In this workshop, you will learn the basics of wet felting with a resist to create a seamless clutch purse with a flap, and bead closure. We will lay out plenty of layers of a sturdy felting wool, and apply surface decoration in many varied forms: bits of mixed wool batts, Angelina fibers, silk or bamboo fibers, silk sari threads. Customize with what I bring, or add bits of wool or yarns from your stash to make it your own. Leave with a damp purse, and a special bead for a “buttonhole” closure. The class does require some upper body strength, but is lots of fun. All are welcome; no previous felting experience necessary. See teacher bio.
