Description: We all have a stash, be it 6 leftover balls or 600 skeins! We buy the yarn because it speaks to us. It comes into the house as a cherished new family member but sooner or later it is relegated to a bin or closet. Occasionally we visit it and dream of what it could be and promise that soon we’ll be back with that perfect project, repeat.

Using some simple tools and a few hours, you can soon be using that stash and create some gorgeous projects. Projects you knew were possible but hidden. You will also get your yarns, books and patterns organized (read. . . being able to locate them!)  Since I’ve worked with these tools, my knitting and crocheting have really taken off and the feeling of liberation from that “stash guilt” is unparalleled.

Skill Level: Beginner

Homework: None

Tools Needed:

  • Bring your laptop, ipad, notebook computer (if a camera is available on the device, even better, but not necessary). Also bring a mouse, if you use, and a power cord, if you need; prefer if all devices can be fully charged if possible. Student must be able to connect their device to the wifi system.
  • 1 book AND 1 magazine AND 1 pattern. (Knitting and/or crocheting and/or weaving and/or spinning)
  • At least 2 different brands of yarns with 1 brand in 2 or more colors (ex., 1 Rowan in green; 2 Brown Sheep in red and blue)
  • One set of knitting needles (ex. Size 8) AND 1 crochet hook (ex. G)

Materials Fee: None
