Donating Supplies for Community Projects

The Community Projects Committee collects yarn all year for the Second Chance for Second Harvest Sale. In addition, we receive many requests for yarn to be used in a variety of ways. Therefore, we are happy to accept donations of CLEAN, ODOR-FREE yarn in any amount (leftover bits to full balls/skeins).

However, if the yarn has been stored for some time, especially if it has been in an attic, basement or garage, please inspect it thoroughly before donating it to ensure that it is free of any musty/moldy odor and that it is free of any evidence of insect or mammal intrusion (e.g., insect parts, plant material that may have been left by animals or rodent droppings).

Notions, needles and patterns are also accepted. All book donations go to the Guild library to be added to the Guild’s collection or sold at the May meeting to help support the Guild library.

We also collect clean polar fleece fabric for baby blankets (1 or 1½ yards, minimum 36x28 inches).

NOTE: If you would like to send a donation of yarn, supplies, fleece, or completed items to Community Projects and are unable to do so at one of our monthly meetings, please e-mail to make arrangements for getting your donation to us. Thank you!
